| Subject: BBC School News Report Project | Notice on: 09-02-2012 |
| BBC School News Report Project, Dear All You must be aware that British Council is doing a BBC School News Report Project in partnership with BBC where 86 schools are participating across India. The project gives opportunity to 11-16 year-old students to make their own news reports at school and to broadcast these to a real audience via the internet and other media. The students will create news reports throughout the year and their work will be published on their own school websites or on the website of their UK partner school and on the British Council Schools Online website. As part of the prohject schools are responsible to publish a piece of news report on issues given by British Council time to time. The schools have already reported on their first milestone ie “Local Community Issue” and have uploaded their news on their schools’ website. Moving further we are coming up with a Practice News Day scheduled 8 th Feb 2012 whose main objective is to provide the students a real journalistic experience - managing tight deadlines while scouting for relevant stories, editing the stories and uploading reports on the same day. As part of the Practice News Day the schools are required to upload the news on “National or international issue” by 2.00 pm local time.
We are privilege to have you all with us as our British Council School Ambassador where you provide us with your excellent expertise and help us in various aspects of our work. As part of the BBC project we would like you to screen the school reports that the schools will be uploading as part of the Practice News Day. We will share the link of the schools where they would be uploading the news by 9th Feb. The news has to be judged on below criteria.
Selection Criteria - The news to be on national / international issue - The time limit has to be of 2-3 minutes - The report has to be concise and well addressed on the issue reporting - The news has to be original
We look forward to your support . Kindly send me your confirmation in order to go ahead with this..

| Subject: Suryajyoti Winter Camp 2011 | Notice on: 12-12-2011 |
| Winter Camp, Dear Parent,
Vacations usher in fun, frolic and activity at the Heritage. This is the time for children to hone those special skills, for which there is not much time in an otherwise packed academic schedule. Be it in the field of sports, or other co-curricular activities, it has been our persistent endeavour to provide something different to the children during the days of the camp, so that they are able to learn something more than what they do in the regular activity classes.
This year, we will be holding the Winter Camp for children from the 19th to the 23rd of December, 2011 (5 days). This will be a time for developing the special hobbies and remaining gainfully occupied during the holidays.
If you wish to enrol your child for the camp, please send a cheque of Rs 2400/- in favour of ‘The Heritage School’ along with the duly completed registration form in a sealed envelope and submit it to the class teacher on or before 15th December, 2011. Apart from the activities, the package would also include transportation by A.C. buses, breakfast and a drink. Students of other schools can deposit their enrolment forms at the school’s main reception. The timings of the camp will be from 8.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.
The camp is open to students of other schools as well. The bus pick up point will be as per the attached sheet and no request for any change will be entertained. Best Wishes Seema Sapru Principal |
