Inclusive Education
The Heritage School is designed as an
'Inclusive School' where slow learners with developmental delays are included
in the mainstream classroom.Trained special educators withdraw the children
everyday to the resource room according to a need-based programme. Pupils and
teachers are sensitised to the special needs of these children.

Outreach
A holistic educational programme provides opportunities of serving mankind. A
community that cares is a community that achieves harmony. Our children take
part in community service projects. Children learn to interact regularly with
differently abled children. Our compulsory SUPW programme includes regular
visits to the nearby Manovikas Kendra. These experiences inculcate compassion,
sensitivity and gentleness.
Prayas: A group of children with the help of a teacher formed
this group. They believe they can extend support to those less privileged. The
projects they hope to undertake are -
1. Raising funds for a cause.
2. Providing support to an SOS village.
3. Sharing time and resources with the aged and the underprivileged.
4. Caring for the environment.

Outward Bound
Regular study tours and excursions
are organized to sensitize children to the richness of our historical, cultural
and natural heritage.
Educational trips abroad are also arranged to promote understanding and
appreciation of other cultures.
Trekking, nature camps and mountaineering are cherished activities which not
only inject the spice of adventure in our largely urbanized lives, but also
have a great influence on the children's characters and indeed, their courage.
With guidance and instruction, children discover skills and qualities such as
the ability to make decisions, communicate effectively, leadership and
teamwork.
Outdoor challenges show young people the meaning of what is arguably the
greatest sentence in the English Language:
"I can".

Parent-Teacher Partnership
It is our belief that education is best achieved when it involves a
three-way process between the child, educator and parent. In keeping with this
policy, the school maintains a channel of communication with the parents
through.
. Regular
counselling and interactive sessions.
. Welcoming the parents to visit the school and share a meal with the
children.
. The School Diary
. Open House
. Frank discussions with the Principal and the Headmistress.
It is only when the school and the parents understand and support each other
that effective education can take place.
